The products are a good mix of different styles and brands, and there is a great selection of used and vintage bikes as well. Some of the other stores in the area only sell products from one manufacturer, which means you may or may not be getting the best product possible at their stores. In addition, when the item I was looking for was not in stock at Loose Spokes, Jack was happy to help me find the right product and order it in for me.
After visiting multiple bike shops in the tri-cities, I have definitely found the product and service at Loose Spokes to be the best in the area. Jack really knows his stuff too. He is always happy to share his knowledge, not only to help you find the product for your needs, but also to help you become a better cyclist in general. I think I have learned something new every time I have visited his store.
Since completing the bicycle repair and maintenance classes with you, I have saved money, grown more confident in my own ability, and become a more knowledgeable cyclist. My kids are now learning from me how to tune up and maintain their own bikes...
Loose Spokes is one of the best all-around bike shops I've ever visited. They're a true service-oriented shop that values the bike you already own, rather than trying to drum up reasons for you to purchase a new one. Jack stayed over an hour late on a Saturday evening to help me dial in my bike and show me a few things about repair/maintenance. Their prices are very reasonable, products are top-notch, and they do exceptional work. I highly recommend Loose Spokes!
Loose spokes is the place to go! Christian has always been super awesome to work with and always takes care of my bike right away when something is wrong, everyone there is really down to earth and super friendly, I won't take a bike anywhere else to be serviced other than to the guys at loose spokes. I definitely recommend anyone to go see the guys down there whether it be to buy a new bike or have yours serviced, you will not be disappointed! Thanks again Christian for always taking care of me!
I personally have never had a bad experience with this bike shop but have heard story's from my dad and another review that both were around the same. I went in to replace my dumpster found mountain bike that I road and loved for about 2 years and needed an upgrade, although it was a little expensive (420$) I got an amazing bike that I use everyday to get to school and hit the trails. On the other hand my dad brought his mountain bike in for a new tire and to fix the brakes in the front but instead they charged way more and replaced both brakes instead of just fixing one. Great for buying but don't get your bike repaired there.
Jack and his team of expert staff are truly Specialized at their craft--all things bicycling! They are warm, friendly, good people. Salt of the earth. I have never once had a bad experience at this fine establishment. I have been a loyal customer since 2010 and will be for life. Prices are fair, service is exceptional, and their knowledge of ANY problem mechanical, comfort/bike fit, training, questions on apparel for the 4 seasons here in Michigan is outstanding. Their group rides are amazing, safe and fun. No one gets left behind. I send all my friends and family to Jack and Christian. They are simply amazing. I do not believe what the critics are saying on these reviews. Seems they are just looking to complain and it's obvious that they never really wanted to deal with the issue because they didn't go to Jack and express their concern directly. I know Jack. If there is a complaint or concern he will work tirelessly to make it right.
