Always have trouble getting help here when I need it. Missed put on a Webber Summit sale, got it elsewhere instead. Bought carpet through home depot with a deal for free install. Terrible offer. The people sent to do the carpet said they moved furniture, but on the day of install said they do not move furniture.requiring rescheduling and moving all the furniture myself.. home depot didn't care at all. We were told it wasn't their problem.
Typical large box retailer. While we all use them, for perceived savings on your needs, nothing can be further from the truth. There are no free lunches or giveaways. You get what you pay for, don't expect top of the line merchandise and pay bottom shelf prices. If memory serves, didn't Grand Haven have a couple of hardware stores prior to Home Depots entry into the local market. Just another aspect of the impact that large box retailers have on locally owned businesses.
Been kinda disappointed in home depot lately in grand haven. Stop in to get something then think to my self I need to get some questions about carpet answered. Then go back to carpet area and employees just talking between each other not doing any signs of work. Not once ask me I need help with anything. Same thing happens in others areas as well. I used to come in here and everyone would asked me if I needed any help. Just kinda disappointed. Always have great experience when I check out though.

As for Grand Haven really needing a hardware store, before Home Depot there was am Ace on Robbins road (locally owned) and there was and still is a hardware store right across the street.. not sure how you moss that one.
I love The Home Depot! Super friendly and helpful staff and my kids and I really enjoy and appreciate the kids workshop that host once a month.
