I usually only stop here for lunch. They have a nice selection of subs, panni and pizzas. They also have a soup and salad bar. Though most of this is over priced it is convenient when your in a hurry and want to get something different than the fast food places for lunch. The food is OK nothing special. The new upgrade to the lunch buffet and the building I will say is very impressive. Everything I expect for Grand Haven.
This is a great place to shop or just hang and drink coffee or tea and idle away time. The produce section is outstanding, fresh and cared for. The meat market has some mighty tasty looking offerings. A shopper could spend half a day in the wine, beer and liquor section. The selection is better than most. There bakery and deli counter deserve mention also. There is a Starbucks up front. The downside is that, D&W is a tad bit pricey.
Love this store. Superb, helpful staff, old fashioned cleanliness and bagging groceries/taking them out to the car, big selections, great deli/bakery and too many more wonderful things to list here. Best store on the lake shore.
BUT...One Gets what one pays for.
They need a better soup selection. They do not appear to give their daily soups any thought at all!! Such as , Hey perhaps we have customers who are vegetarian, or maybe we have customers who don't like sea food or maybe alergic. I came into the store today 12-15-17 & they were serving 2 soups with sea food and the other was some sausage soup. I mean how about providing a reasonable selection?? Plus their deli selections are the same everyday. The new store was cool at first, now it's just the same old, same old. Boring. Back to Meijer!
An incredible store! The stuff to buy here is awesome. The deli is awesome, the meats are incredible, and the wine selection is superb. The cheeses, the fruit, it's awesome!
OK So now the issues. One issue is the work flow when ordering food, there is no clear line to stand in and the workers do not pay attention to who is next in whatever line is being formed. The last two times I stopped for Soup and a sandwich it took my entire lunch time just to get to the checkout. I mention this to the workers they smile and usually say nothing, but when they do they are gruff and talk with attitude. The very last time I was they was yesterday and I waited almost 15 minutes before I walked out because no one was behind the counter near the sandwiches. Employees walking in and out of the back room and looks like there are 7 or so working the deli. No one in the food court? I'm confused. There is one girl working the register. OK I ask her she laughed and ignored my question when I asked where all the staff was at. I doubt I will be back. Really disappointed with the staff and the service. I would not hold your breath if you expect good service from this place.
