Paul has been cutting my hair for me for over a year now, and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him. I am happier with my hair than I have been in years. Paul has also given me some great advice on hair products without ever being pushy about buying. I appreciate that he takes the time to explain why he likes certain products, how they work, and what would be best for my hair. He is also very personable. This is a well run SmartStyle Salon. As long as Paul is there, I won't go anywhere else!
Went in yesterday for some highlights and I LOVED them! I was beyond nervous but I trusted Sarah. She did such an amazing job! Everyone there is so friendly. Highly recommend. :)
I am extremely disatisfied with my experience. I asked for a light brown all over color with blonde highlights. I left with orange hair. Even though from the START i said i dont want you to do anything today that could possibly make my hair turn orange. She said oh no worries it wont be orage we just have to lighten it first to accomplish the light brown you're requesting. It will cost a little more but it will get the result you want. I said that will be fine i dont care what it costs just as long as i dont end up with orange hair. I left unhappy, woke up still unhappy and will be going back today expecting a full refund! Of the $150.00 i paid to have orange hair. Had to give at least 1 star to get this to post.
Amazing, and highly satisfied. This is the second time I've gone to the Grand Haven SmartStyle, and both times Sarah has been the one to cut my hair. I am growing out a Horribly Awkward Hair Cut Mistake and she's worked her magic both times to make me go from hating it, to loving it during the grow-out phase. This will be my go-to salon and stylist as I continue growing it out. The other stylists there, although not working on my hair, were friendly and polite. The salon was clean. It's worth it to me to drive 15-20 mins out of town to go to this salon rather than the one in Muskegon closer to me.
I have been going there for a few years. I am always happy. I even do different color highlights "purple,red" they come out great. Sarah and Paul always suggest shampoo and how often to wash so colors dont bleed or fade. I love these guys and am always looking for new styles to give a challenge.
