Cute little breakfast spot. They had a really interest menu with traditional homestyle breakfast choices and Southwest option.
It has a bit of a hipster vibe, but in a good way.
WOW! This place has fantastic breakfast/brunch! We went on a Sunday, and they were PACKED. Be prepared to wait to be seated. It's worth it.
Everything is made fresh on site, and all ingredients are locally sourced.
We did have to wait a long time to get seated, even on a Friday morning. However that's not surprising for a small breakfast place with quite a reputation. There's staff was all really friendly and tended to us throughout breakfast.
I'm not sure what I can say that hasn't already been said about this fabulous restaurant. The food is great, the vibe is lively, always a great experience. Yes, there is always a wait, it's always crowded, but there's a reason for that--it's that good. If you like spacious and quiet, Morning Star is not for you. But, I've been there for both brunch and lunch and have never had anything but a delicious meal. Best brunch around.
Was it worth waiting over an hour to get? No. Was it good? Yes. Atmosphere and staff are very nice. I got a daily special, but don't think they made it as described. A lot of locals recommended the cinnamon bun, and it was good and loaded with cream cheese based frosting. Must try breakfast place in Grand Haven.
Favorite breakfast place. Ever. Southwest dishes, Benedict's and baked goods are specialties. Just make sure you get a cinnamon roll. Made from day old house baked cinnamon bread and soaked in goodness before being baked for you. I want one right now.
When we arrived, I overheard a guest saying they had the best breakfast of their life. I don't quite agree that it was the best ever, but it was very good. I had the Benito which was a Southwest Eggs Benedict on marble cornbread. And we split a giant cinnamon roll. Everything tasted pretty great and was super filling.
